| Due to limitations in the way SchoolFusion processes the automated Recent Activity and Daily Digest email, homework, files, calendar events, etc. posted AFTER 1 p.m. will not be included in the Recent Activity and Event Digest email for the day. Therefore, if a teacher has told students that they have a homework assignment at the end of class but it isn’t posted until 3 p.m., then it will not show up in the email. To avoid missing critical and updated information to teacher sites, parents and students are encouraged to login to the system at any time to access the “My Family” (for parents) and “My Classrooms” (for students) links for current information, as well as to sign up for a personalized RSS feed. |
The 2009-2010 school year is off to a great start, and the SCA is excited about the many events planned for the year. November brings the Operation Turkey food drive, where Benton strives to raise 1500 boxes of stuffing and mashed potatoes to donate to ACTS - please help us meet our goal.
On Friday, November 20, from 3:00 - 5:00, the SCA will host the Operation Turkey Benton Blast. Students may participate in dancing, basketball, board games, and video games, and enjoy great concessions.
On Friday, January 22, from 3:00 - 7:00, the SCA is sponsoring the second annual Benton Blast Winter Carnival. From 3:00 - 5:00, students may enjoy a wide variety of carnival games, and other fun activities. From 5:00 - 7:00, we throw open the doors to the Benton Community at large. Parents and siblings of Benton students are welcome to come and enjoy the activities and concessions - family tickets are just $5 for the whole family and may be bought at the door.
On Friday, March 19, students will enjoy the Spring Fling Benton Blast, featuring the same great activities available at all Benton Blasts. Come have a good time with your friends.
Friday, June 4 is an exciting day for all students. From 3-5 that day, 6th and 7th grade students will enjoy a special Benton Blast to celebrate the impending end to the school year. That evening, from 6:30 - 8:30, 8th graders will experience a one-of-a-kind event, Many interactive and inflatable activities will be available for students to enjoy - don't miss this opportunity to end your 8th grade year with a bang.
Tickets for all event are only $5, and will be sold during lunch shifts on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, June 4-6. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR FOR EITHER EVENT!
Academic and behavior probation will impact a student's ability to attend a scheduled dance. Please contact Ms. Poche at pochesn@pwcs.edu for more information concerning probation list restrictions.
Volunteers are needed for all events - parents, if you'd like to help out at any SCA event, please contact Mr. Yoho at yohotx@pwcs.edu.
NOTE: It is the parent's responsibility to pick up the student at THE DESIGNATED TIME. All alternative arrangements must be documented on the permission form. If you need your child early, you must come into the building to get him/her. Students that are not picked up ON TIME will have their names placed on the probation list and will not be permitted to attend the next scheduled dance.
