Attention: The chorus event at Forest Park High School, scheduled for Friday, February 5th is cancelled due to the weather forecast.

Due to limitations in the way SchoolFusion processes the automated Recent Activity and Daily Digest email, homework, files, calendar events, etc. posted AFTER 1 p.m. will not be included in the Recent Activity and Event Digest email for the day. Therefore, if a teacher has told students that they have a homework assignment at the end of class but it isn’t posted until 3 p.m., then it will not show up in the email.

To avoid missing critical and updated information to teacher sites, parents and students are encouraged to login to the system at any time to access the “My Family” (for parents) and “My Classrooms” (for students) links for current information, as well as to sign up for a personalized RSS feed.

The Parent Teacher Association (“PTA”) works together to promote a sense of community spirit at Benton, to share ideas and information about issue and community affairs, and to help provide financial support to the various departments within our school. As a Benton PTA member, you are entitled to vote at PTA meetings and participate in decision-making issues directly affecting your children, such as the PTA budget.

Everyone is invited to attend the PTA meetings held monthly on the first Tuesday in the Lecture Hall at 6:00 PM. Voting rights are reserved for PTA members only. Membership is our primary means of financial support. In combination with your membership and fundraiser dollars, PTA supports:

-Purchase of New Classroom Books-Special Assemblies (Anti-Bully Program)-
PTA Website/School Fusion

-Benton Beautification-Teacher/Staff/Bus Drivers Appreciation-Nation PTA Reflections Program

-Teacher Start – UP Fund- Teacher’s Special Dept Requests-Computer Carts and Computers

-Teacher Back to School Breakfast- Assistance to Families

The PTA Fundraising activities include (activities may change from year to year, depending on support):

- Domino “Dough” Nights Family Fun Nights
- Box Top For Education Bucks

The PTA supports Social and Fun Activities such as (may change depending upon interest and support)- Family Fun Nights - Cougar Crawl - Ice Cream Social- Talent Show- Picnic & Luau. -
